Skills like teamwork, leadership, patience, discipline, learning from failure, Sportsmanship, etc., are developed only when children play sports regularly. At Beaconhouse we acknowledge that these skills are equally important when it comes to studies and management so we make sure that our students participate in sports events regularly. Annual Sports Day is one such exciting event to which students anxiously look forward too. Same fervour and enthusiasm of students were seen during our branch’s recently held Annual Sports Day at Siddique Memon Scouts Sports Complex.
Students demonstrated their passion for sports through many lively and energetic performances in Hula Hoop, Yoga, Aerobics, Gymnastics, Taekwondo and vibrant PE displays. Audience was spell bound to see the young sports persons, performing each act with such perfection and synchronization.
World cup gold medalist in ju-jitsu, which is a family of Japanese martial arts, Fatima Irfan graced the occasion as the chief guest of the event. Her presence certainly was the source of inspiration for all our students and especially the young girls present there.
Track events were the highlight of the day. Winners were handed over trophies and medals by the chief guest.
