Grandparents are a valuable resource because they offer a link to a child’s cultural heritage and family history.
By Early-Years at BSS 17-G , a day was exclusively dedicated to the eldest valuable family members, by proudly celebrating ‘Grandparents day’ .The ground and stage was set with red hearts, colourful pinwheels and pompom, showcasing enthusiasm and excitements of the little ones. The guests were of course the grandparents who were welcomed whole-heartedly by E.Y coordinator Miss Amara and teachers .
Pre-nursery, Nursery and Kindergarten students displayed various acts to their grandparents in the audience, such as magic show, Urdu mimes, dance recitals and choir performances .Students were dressed in pretty costumes and props making the ambiance filled with colour and joy for their grandparents .
Not only did students take part in the celebrations but grandparents also actively participated in various segments such as races, sorting activity, musical chair ,story-telling and interview sessions. There was never a dull moment ,as the surrounding was filled with cheers and claps from audience . Students presented giveaways to their grandparents followed by photography session and refreshments.
The day was concluded by Miss Suad and Miss Amara , as they forwarded their gratitude to the guests and reflected on their own golden childhood memories with grandparents .
