What I know about Atoms

Atoms are fundamentally; the building blocks of everything around us. They are extremely small; to the point where they seem non-existent to some of us! In heavier objects, atoms are tightly-packed, close together, while the opposite is true for lighter objects. This gives the object more weight and ultimately; more mass. Each atom has a “Nucleus” which is made of two basic or main particles: Protons and Neutrons. But, these are just the fundamental particles; otherwise, there is a whole new universe inside a nucleus. These particles are known as Sub-atomic particles or Sub-nuclear particles. Sub-atomic particles move extremely fast (in the Nucleus), hence when they move, they produce heat. The same is said for atoms themselves. When they move around or in an object, they produce heat: hence, every object has at least some heat in it.

Structure of an Atom

Particles known as Electrons rotate around the Nuclei (plural for Nucleus) at unthinkably high speeds as well! Electrons have their types too. Atoms are quite impressive in terms of reproduction (or as it is known in scientific terms “Nucleosynthesis”) too! The first known scene of Nucleosynthesis is when the Big Bang took place. When an explosive or nuclear object explodes, the nuclear particles multiply in a matter of Nanoseconds! When this happens, eventually a mushroom-cloud can be seen in the area, known as an explosion!
