Splashhhhhhhhhh! One word says it all.

Summer is the perfect time to explore, and there’s nothing more fun than spending time in water during this season. No matter if it’s in the ocean, lake, creek, community pool, or tub in the backyard. Students of Kindergarten from Beaconhouse Qasimabad Campus, reveling fun-filled activities to make the leap into winter and wave goodbye to summer.

Sand Play, raindrop and slide, bubble tables, juice stalls, walking through the river and other water elements were set up outside where the students were allowed to run around and play in the water as much as they want. The full area felt like a water park to them and, as always, our wonderful teachers were right by them to back up.

  • Basic Mathematical Concepts:
Sorting colored balls in sandpit helped them build visual perception and thinking skills. They quickly sort into colors using a spade and learned to categorized and classify which helps in memory skills. They also pour water from one container to another using a sponge, they learned which one has more and which has less. Teachers were using math words such as full and empty.
  • Creative Arts:
Painting a summer line drawing scenery, in which they filled their favorite colors and imagined how colorful the life can be.
  • World Around Us:
Experimenting making bubbles through blowing air into the straw which allows the water to create bubbles all around.
  • Physical Development:
Balancing water buckets on their shoulders and walking on the balancing beam allowed them to have better control over their bodies.

The best part of the activity was the raindrops and slide, where water was showered like raindrops and students got wet and pretend it’s raining. In the end, they enjoyed the fun cooling summer drink.
