Timely vaccination not only protect children from deadly diseases, but they also keep other children safe by eliminating or greatly decreasing dangerous diseases that used to spread from child to child. Immunization can make children protected against more diseases than ever before, because of advances in medical science.
Today’s world is still grappling with the very contagious Measles and Rubella viruses, none of which have gone away despite being entirely preventable with a simple vaccine. Pakistan has taken this initiative to vaccinate more than 90 million children as part of global fight against Measles and Rubella. Beaconhouse School System has never made any compromise on the health of children and has made certain that every child can live a healthy life. And to ensure this, Jauhar Hilltop Campus, held a vaccination day for children on Thursday, November 18, 2021, in which a large number of children under the age of 12 received their vaccination dose. This activity took place under assigned government officials and is a major milestone in our efforts to protect and improve children’s health.
For the guidance of parents, we arranged the information/ registration desk from where they could get all the important information related to Measles Rubella Vaccination. We then surprised our dear students with a snack pack, took their photos and celebrate—even when there were tears involved. The goal was to make them proud of what they accomplished.
Highlighting these achievements is important because without them, it’s all too easy to forget the astonishing successes we have realized with something so simple and unambiguous as giving a child a vaccine.
Congratulations to the Government of Pakistan on this historic national campaign, which will ensure children, continue to be protected against these deadly diseases despite the pandemic. Beaconhouse School System will continue working closely with governments and ministries of health to help eliminate diseases and infection threats before they become national, regional or international crises.
