Breast cancer, like many other illnesses, is the most frequent cancer among women. Breast cancer affects one out of every ten women at some point in their lives.

In 2020, there were 2.3 million women diagnosed with breast cancer and 6,85,000 deaths globally. At the end of 2020, there were 7.8 million women alive who were diagnosed in the past 5 years, making it the world’s most prevalent cancer.

There is much that we know, yet there’s still a lot we don’t comprehend. We do know, however, that if we promote awareness and cancer is detected early, the prospects of survival are high.

Pinktober is a month dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer, during which people all around the world participate in awareness activities, informational sessions and campaigns, and emphasize the need of knowing about the disease before it has serious repercussions. A student of BCP Qasimabad, Ajlal Saleem, took the initiative of coordinating with Shaukat Khanam Hospital, in order to raise awareness about breast cancer, the A levels students worked as a fantastic team and put up informational flyers/stickers all around the campus, and they are very glad to be a part of this initiative.
