As part of our holistic approach to quality education, we at Beaconhouse Elementary Campus go the extra mile for students to learn the moral virtues. We believe in not only advocating the teaching of moral values in our school but also imparting strong ethics.
The goal of incorporating moral values into education is to ensure that, our students not only have the knowledge and skills needed to work and succeed, but also the compassion and emotional wherewithal to be a part of a safe, peaceful, and cooperative society.
The children discovered the importance of making dua, of being respectful, of reciting darood and of the significance of the Holy Month. The students learned the meaning behind Tasbeeh i.e. to make dua and the dua of the fasting person is not rejected, the dua just before breaking the fast and sehri, remembering to make loads of dua and how to do it.
The event’s commemoration was peculiar in making students gain an understanding of the meaning behind the ‘ibadah’, of Ramadan, fasting, following sunnah and practicing good deeds. The students from lower primary presented ‘ahadis’ to be remembered and understood, recited 99 names of Allah and recited darood. The spiritual experience lead up to the collective dua, joined in asking Allah’s blessings to be upon us and the students assimilating the treasures of connecting to Allah.
