“Children learn as they play. Most importantly in play, children learn, how to learn.” -O. Fred Donaldson.

After a long wait, the big day had finally come! The crisp December morning crackled with excitement as our students lined up to board the buses. It was the day of the much-anticipated field trip to the TDF Magnifiscience Centre organized by Primary II, PECHS.
The excitement of the students was infectious as they went off on their trip accompanied by their teachers with Grade IV visiting the Museum on 7th December followed by Grade V’s on the 8th of December.

TDF MagnifiScience Centre is Pakistan’s first contemporary, interactive science centre designed to provide hands-on learning experiences. MSC’s learning space allows visitors to engage with science in a fun way while observing, exploring, and developing an understanding of everyday scientific phenomena.
The students were welcomed by the Centre’s Team and were take to explore the various activities at the Learning Centre.  Our young learners were taken to the “World Within Us” where they learnt about the marvel that is the human body, followed by the the Mirror Maze and the Light Room where they were fascinated by optical illusions and the power of light.

They were then allowed to explore the wonders of Renewable Energy, challenge their brains with puzzles involving the principles of Mathematic, Forces and Magnetism as well as learning about Communication technology.

The Science Garden allowed our learners to finesse their psychomotor skills encouraging adaptive thinking, challenging their balance and mapping skills.

After a fun-filled day, our happy, exhausted students returned to school having school-provided lunches on the way.

The TDF Magnifiscience Center gave our students wonderful play- integrated learning opportunities as in the words of Alfred Mercier ( an 18th century poet) :

“What we learn with pleasure, we never forget.”
