Covid is not yet over and let us not forget that its impact will be far lasting. Pandemic has presented many challenges to all of us in different ways. While it has affected us all, students have been especially vulnerable to the change. For some it might be difficult to adjust back to normal life. This has severed students from their friends, classrooms and extracurricular activities. But more than anything it has cut them off from their teachers and school staff whose compassionate advice and open door policies had helped them cope with depression, trauma, and negative peer pressure.
Keeping all this in mind, BCP Potohar Campus organized the Mental Wellness Awareness week of our students. This included a session with our dear students on mental health and wellbeing in adolescents as well as highlighted the importance of social resilience. This was followed by a session of Taichi, laughter yoga, and expressive therapy. Throughout the week students wore a green ribbon to show support to their loved ones and those around that they care about their mental health.
