According to Forbes magazine, children who seem to have the potential to lead companies in the years ahead are those that have competed in debate competitions during their school years.

Debating is so necessary to learn and improve upon in this day of age because our children’s future depends on their communication skills, their ability to persuade, to connect with an audience and to present their arguments in a clear manner.

On March 1st, 2022, Beaconhouse Bahria Enclave Campus held an intra-school English debate competition from Grades 1 to 8 dealing with various topics such as, ‘Do fairytales change children’s perception of reality and does media promote violence and disorder in our society?’ Each student was given a topic based on their year group and two minutes to present their argument. At BSS, we understand the need to train our students for the real world and this debating exercise helped with just that.

Three esteemed faculty members from other BSS branches were called to the school to judge the debates. Principal, Mrs. Amna Usman Khan along  with the judges was present to award trophies to all the winners and certificates to all the participants.

Well done to all the participants and winners!
