When is a bake sale more than a bake sale? When we look at learning opportunities behind these special fundraisers, we discover that children get more out of them than we might realize.
Such was the case at the bake sale hosted by BSS College Programme Bahria Enclave Campus in which students raised money for needy children at a nearby local school.
It’s important to mention that students and faculty from the entire school joined hands for this cause and contributed a range of food items which were sold at the event. All the proceeds from the event were then donated to children who are less privileged but very much deserving of these funds.
The bake sale was a great opportunity to not only do good for a chosen charity but also to inspire others to be kind and generous. The children also learned to plan and organize an event, although the teachers were there to help along the way, the children were very involved in the entire preparation of the event.
Overall, it was a great event and the students were able to sell off all the goods that were brought in.
