At BSS Bahria Enclave Campus, tricky science concepts such as electricity are taught by hands-on, simple and relevant experiments.
The lessons are structured in a way that students are first introduced to the concept, then they are provided keywords relating to the topic, next they are provided with an opportunity to use those keywords in valuable class discussions and in written assignments and then they move on to a hands-on experiment to test their theories practically.
In Grade 5, children explored electricity by using a mixture of electrical components to create a simple series circuit. Children were able to understand that electricity requires a power source, an unbroken connection and materials that are good conductors. At the end of the unit, students were all able to make working circuits, draw circuit diagrams using symbols, and present them to their classmates.
