‘An autobiography usually revels nothing about its writer except his memory’ – Franklin P. Jones
Writing is the greatest form of art which has been around since the dawn of mankind. What started off as little pictures on cave walls soon evolved into carefully articulated words composed to make essays, autobiographies and best seller books. One such form of writing is called autobiographies that is a very crafty and creative manner of presenting one’s own life story. This writing form helps bring out the author’s or writer’s skills to present their own story in the most selfless manner. Following this very notion grade 4 set out to write their autobiographies. As a teacher supervising this activity I can say with great pleasure that listening to those adorable, funny and joyful stories of the students really made my day. Children discussed their past experiences and adventures that added such wonderful colours to their already very interesting stories.
All the students’ work was displayed in their class and the parents that visited on the parent teacher conference had a good laugh reading the adorable autobiographies of their children.
