Poetry limbers up the imagination and is a true art form that packs an emotional punch. We saw first-hand the power of poetry at our Beaconhouse Bahria Enclave Campus poetry recital held on March 9th, 2022.
Students from Grades 1 through 5 stepped forward to recite their favourite poems in English and Urdu. There was a range of styles and themes covering everything from dreams, life, to even homework. You could hear a pin drop as students recited their chosen poems, making the audience laugh, smile, and think carefully about the messages conveyed.
The contestants would be the first to admit that it is not easy to stand and deliver in front of their peers, yet the experience is an invaluable one, characterized by risk-taking and confidence building. Each participant should be proud of their efforts!
