‘Everyone can experience the joy and blessing of generosity; because everyone has something to give’ – Jan Grace.

As the last ashra’ of Ramadan begins an intense hustle and bustle unfolds among the general masses to prepare themselves for Eid. For every Muslim Eid is definitely a much anticipated and ‘looked forward to’ type of event as it brings sparkly clothes, dazzling shoes, delicious foods and fancy gatherings with it. Yet in this time of joy and happiness we must never forget our brothers and sisters who aren’t able to afford the same luxuries as us.

In light of the Islamic principle of giving and charity the A levels team of Beaconhouse Bahria Enclave Campus ran a charity drive of collecting different Eid boxes donated by students from all over the school. The response of all students was absolutely overwhelming and far beyond generosity itself. As children chipped in by giving their beautiful clothes, adorable toys and delicious foods it was quite evident that they have indeed a good and clear understanding of what charity and generosity means. It is quite assuring to think that this this time around, by the Grace of Allah, all Muslim brethren shall get to enjoy the perks and excitements of a lovely Eid day. So my dear reader I would very much like to extend the most heartfelt Thank you to our student body who came together for this generous cause and a special shout out to our faculty and administration who aided this charity drive. Thank you for reading and a little word of advice I’d say go out and get your dresses before stocks run out dear readers.
