PBL: Project-Based Learning ensues students to learn about real-life problems by
stepping deep into the practicality of the issues. This enables them to sharpen their skills in
terms of preparing, asking, and executing questions which are otherwise not an easy task for
pre-teens and teens alike.

Beaconhouse Margalla campus has been successfully conducting PBL for the last 4 years.
Students have worked on various projects such as health upgrades, environmental
management, and education!
For 2021, 8th graders in BMI-G are working on LEARNING FROM THE BEST; educationists
of Pakistan!
For the opening event, we had a wonderful entry event that hosted esteemed educationists
and social workers, who have been working tirelessly to educate the underprivileged, by
providing them free of cost education.

Mr. Master Ayub:
A personality who is not short of an introduction: the man who spent his after-work hours to
educate those who need it the most!
He is the pioneer of street schools in Pakistan- the one who has been sitting in an open-air
school for the last 38 years, changing the lives of those who are forgotten in society.

Mr. Abdul Rehman Lodhi:
A young man who is the co-founder and vice president of EOTO foundation; EACH ONE TEACH ONE FOUNDATION.

A young man in his early 20s, who has vigor and passion for education- he has pioneered the very first container school of Pakistan, allowing his students in the street school to study in a space that is not just the roadside or a park. The container school is fully functioning in Gujrat and the Islamabad container school will be commenced soon!

Representatives Of Tameer E Millat Foundation:
Since its inception 30 years ago, Tameer-e-Millat Foundation (TMF) has been dedicated to
causing a socio-economic change in Pakistan by focusing on access to quality basic
education. Founded in 1987, TMF is a charitable, non-profit organization working for the
promotion of education, skills development, women empowerment, and social welfare, with
special emphasis on the underprivileged areas.

Mr. Rana Zulfiqar Ahmed (Director General TMF); and
Atif Jamal Ahmed (Assistant Director, Operation & Development Wing)
In the Pakistan army, Brig. Rana Zulfiqar served as the principal staff officer to the chief of
Logistics Staff headed Ordnance College and trained 5000 plus officers. He is now serving
as the Director-General of Tameer e Millet Foundation, he has launched two cadet colleges
and improved education institutions and standards of education for non-affording parents all
across the country.

The students and faculty both had a great time talking to and attending the fruitful session.
Witnessing the unsung heroes on a T.V screen is quite an achievable experience, however,
the students have gotten a whole new experience out of asking their questions and talking to
them face to face, in an academic environment.
