Beginning the journey as a freshman in college is an exciting experience for every student. It holds special meanings for the students of a campus like Beaconhouse Margalla Campus; where the young students of the Boys and Girls branch gaze with awe and admiration at the students of BCP in their sophisticated uniforms from a distance. They catch glimpses of the plethora of events being organized by the A levels students on a regular basis and dream about what life would be like as a BCP student.
23rd August was the day when their dreams became a reality as it was ‘Orientation Day’ at BCP Margalla Campus. The exuberance mingled with a tinge of nervousness was evident on their faces as they stepped into the Gym hall for the orientation along with students from many other branches and schools. The orientation was meticulously planned to give students an insight into what life would be like in BCP. They were guided about the rules and regulations as well as the various subject options, clubs and societies. The formal orientation was followed by a fun scavenger hunt and an open mic session. Suddenly, the campus filled with laughter and excitement as the students scrambled to solve the clues and find the hidden goodies. Later, they gathered in the Gym hall again for an open mic session. They were given further guidance about their subject and career options by the faculty and advisors during the week that followed. The first day of these students at BCP Margalla Campus would definitely remain etched in their minds as the students begin a journey of a lifetime!
