In the beginning of second term, Pre-Nursery organized a training session with mothers to help them understand the curriculum and ways of teaching used in the classroom. On January 26th, mothers were invited along with their children to attend the session that focused on learning the sounds and actions of the alphabet and how to practice three-letter words. Teachers also helped mothers of new students with how to help in students’ homework. Teachers of Pre-Nursery also gave a demonstration of how to operate google classroom and join the link using the classroom. Mothers engaged with their children in making an owl as the letter o was being studied in the current week. Moreover, mothers were shown how educational toys can be useful in the effective learning of the little ones. Mothers who attended the session were enthralled to learn new ways of teaching their children at home. Our respective Principal Ms. Sabahat Malik and Senior Mistress Ms. Afshan Mumtaz acknowledged the mothers for their enthusiasm and support by giving them certificates at the end of the session. This session proved fruitful in developing better communication between parents and teachers. It also catered to all the queries of the mothers. This session proved salubrious and more sessions like this will be planned in the future.
