English Declamation at Upper Primary

If you can speak, you can influence. If you can influence, you can change lives”. Understanding how to communicate effectively with peers sets the stage for positive self-esteem. Students feel empowered when they can speak up in their social lives. Beaconhouse Walton Campus has never neglected this particular art of public speaking. The Annual English Declamation Contest 2021-2022 was held at Upper Primary with 100% student participation in the first round. The purpose of the declamation contest was to inculcate in our students the skill of public speaking. With this motto of learning, Students from Grade III, IV and V, participated with full enthusiasm and confidence in the first round.

 In the final round, Grade III students spoke on the topic, “Peer Pressure Helps Students Grow”. The young speakers presented their views with zeal and zest. Honourable judges, Ms Farzana Butt from Model Town Campus and Ms Nuzhat Umair from Middle School, Walton Campus shared the result and prizes were awarded to the winners.

The topic for Grade IV, final round was “Do Violent Games Make People More Violent.” With great fervor and eagerness, our young Beaconites convinced the audience and the respected judges. Ms. Madiha Jahangir from Middle School Walton Campus and Ms Sidra from Model Town Branch were the guests of the honor. 

From Upper Primary, Grade V, students presented their opinions for the topic “No One Can Make You Feel Inferior Without Your Consent” in the final round. The esteemed judges from other branches were invited to witness the event, Ms Asifa Jabeen from Cantt Branch, and Ms Amna Sharjeel from BDC were the guests for the event. Parents appreciated and applauded the efforts of teachers and students in making the Upper Primary English Declamation Contest a big success.
